Netflix has announced that it has renewed its hit drama series 13 Reasons Why for a second season of 13 episodes, which will debut on the streaming service in 2018.
The critically acclaimed show, which is based upon the YA novel of the same name by Jay Asher, follows a high school student Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) who discovers a box of cassette tapes recorded by his crush Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) prior to her suicide, which detail the thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Also featuring in the cast are Kate Walsh, Brian D’Arcy James, Derek Luke, Brandon Flynn, Justin Prentice, Alisha Boe, Christian Navarro and Tommy Dorfman.

The second season will pick up in the aftermath of Hannah’s death, exploring the characters’ complicated journeys toward healing and recovery.
