Did Nathan Fillion just tease a Firefly reunion?

June 22, 2017 by Jordan Jones

If this isn’t a tease for a Firefly reunion, then series star Nathan Fillion may be the 2017’s biggest troll. A few days ago, the actor shared a photo on his Instagram page… nothing out of the ordinary there, right? It’s a photo of Fillion, and fellow Firefly alums Morena Baccarin, and Alan Tudyk. Again: Nothing out of the ordinary. Old friends have lunch all the time. However, it’s the caption that truly makes one wonder what Mr. Fillion is getting at exactly…

What do we want to believe you talked about, Nathan Fillion? Is that even a question?

Fans cried afoul when Firefly was cancelled back in 2003, and have prayed for a continuation of the series ever since. Fans got their wish, in a way, with the movie Serenity back in 2005, but it still left so many questions unanswered. The world that Mal Reynolds inhabited was a vast one, with seemingly endless stories to tell. Firefly was too interesting for one season, and a single movie. Let’s hope this message is more than simple trolling on Fillion’s part. However, given Nathan Fillion’s reputation as a social media comedian, it would be best to keep your enthusiasm in check.

… You can find Jordan on Twitter (@JordJJones), and Facebook.
