Although Mark Ruffalo has ruled out the possibility of a solo Hulk movie (unless a deal can be worked out with Universal, of course), we still have plenty of the Green Goliath to look forward to over the next couple of years, with appearances in Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel.
And, speaking to Fandango, Ruffalo has said that we’ll be seeing a rather major story arc for the Hulk playing out over the next three films: “There’s a huge change for Banner and for Hulk. It isn’t resolved in the first Infinity War, it sort of culminates into the second Infinity War. Thor 3 is the beginning of a lot of changes for Banner and for Hulk.”
The Hulk was absent from the Avengers: Infinity War footage shown at D23, perhaps to preserve the surprise of this “huge change”. Might we be seeing a smarter version of The Hulk? A separation between Bruce Banner and his angry alter-ego? World War Hulk?

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos.
