The Avengers 4 script might not be finished yet according to Josh Brolin

July 19, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Actor Josh Brolin has said that the screenplay for Avengers 4 may not yet be complete.

Brolin is the man behind the MCU’s big bad, Thanos, who will be making his big move in the long awaited Avengers: Infinity War.

Infinity War is set for release on May 4th, 2018, and the sequel to that movie, and the fourth Avengers flick in total, is due out on May 3rd, 2019.

The plot for Avengers 4 is thought to be heavily influenced by the events that will take place in Infinity War, but Brolin has now revealed that the script for that particular movie might still be in the structuring stages.

Speaking to GMA at the D23 Expo, Brolin revealed that even he isn’t sure of what the film will entail.

“I haven’t done the second movie so I don’t know. I literally don’t know what the second script is. I don’t know if they’ve finished the second script, and that’s the truth. I think they’re in the midst of structuring and restructuring.”

Avengers 4 is set to be filmed back-to-back with Infinity War, and with the first now having wrapped production, shooting should start on its sequel very soon indeed.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Avengers: Infinity War opens on April 27th 2018 in the UK and May 4th 2018 in the US and will feature an all-star cast including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Paul Bettany (Vision), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Benedict Wong (Wong), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Sean Gunn (Rocket, Kraglin), Vin Diesel (Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Benicio Del Toro (The Collector), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Winston Duke (M’Baku) and Peter Dinklage and Terry Notary in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
