Since it was first announced that Joss Whedon was stepping in to direct the reshoots and complete post production on Justice League following Zack Snyder’s decision to step away after the death of his daughter, there’s been a lot of speculation as to how Warner Bros. will handle his credit on the DC blockbuster.
A description on Warner Bros. UK’s YouTube channel had hinted that Whedon and Snyder would share directing credits on the film; however, Batman-News has got its hands on the updated credits for the movie, which lists Snyder as sole director, and gives Whedon a screenplay credit alongside Chris Terrio:
Director: Zack Snyder
Writers: Story by Chris Terrio & Zack Snyder, Screenplay by Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon
Based on characters from DC Entertainment, Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster
Producers: Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Jon Berg, Geoff Johns
Executive Producers: Jim Rowe, Wesley Coller, Curtis Kanemoto, Chris Terrio, Ben Affleck
Cast: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Raymond Fisher, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller
Whedon had been enlisted to pen the rewrites for Snyder, so the fact that he’s done enough to earn a screenwriting credit supports the rumours that Justice League’s reshoots have indeed been significant.
