DC’s Project 13 in development at The CW from Elizabeth Banks

October 20, 2017 by Ricky Church

The CW’s stable of comic adaptations continues to grow as Variety reports DC’s Project 13 with Pitch Perfect’s Elizabeth Banks serving as an executive producer for the one-hour drama. The series will be written by Bitten’s creator Daegan Fryklind, who will also executive produce with Banks.

Project 13 is about Traci Thirteen, “a twenty-something forensic scientist and believer in the paranormal who discovers her own hidden extra-sensory abilities when she joins her estranged, skeptic father to investigate mysterious cases of the paranormal and unexplained phenomena”.

Traci was first introduced in Superman Vol. 2 #189 in 2003 and has since appeared with other heroes such as Batman, Supergirl and appeared in DC’s reboot series, Flashpoint. She’s also set for a starring role in the third season of Young Justice: Outsiders.

It is unknown at this point if Project 13 will be set within The CW’s Arrowverse with Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow and their web series Vixen and Constantine. We’ll have to wait on more official word when and if the show gets picked up.
