Cable actor Josh Brolin is excited to play the character in multiple X-Men related movies.
Highlighting Deadpool 2’s comedic sensibilities, the actor who will be providing beloved character Cable with his big screen debut, has expressed to Collider his obvious glee at being involved in future Deadpool and X-Force projects.
Reportedly signed on to play Cable in four films, Brolin certainly sounds excited by the prospect:
“We’ll call it our limited series. This is our limited series. Going back to really fun writing. It’s a great tone, anything goes. It’s a really fun stretch for me to be involved in that comedic community.”
Including Deadpool’s comedic leanings, Fox is certainly trying something different with their X-Men related projects these days; the darkness of Logan, and surreal nature of Legion for instance.
And the recent trailer for The New Mutants has further illustrated that they are willing to break away from the typical superhero genre, looking to craft a more horror based feature.
