Deadline is reporting that Natalia Cordova-Buckley has been upped to a series regular for the upcoming fifth season of ABC and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
The actress portrays the character of Elena ‘Yo-Yo’ Rodriguez and made her debut in season three as a recurring guest star. She also reprised the role for the six-part web series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Slingshot, which you can watch here.

The fifth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is slated to premiere on ABC this winter, and sees Cordova-Buckley joining fellow season regulars Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson), Ming-Na Wen (Melinda May), Chloe Bennet (Daisy Johnson), Iain De Caestecker (Leo Fitz), Elizabeth Henstridge (Jemma Simmons) and Henry Simmons (Alphonso ‘Mack’ MacKenzie). Nick Blood is also confirmed to return in a guest role as Lance Hunter.
