Venom’s start of production has been teased via a social media post.
The Venom movie is an interesting proposition, fans have been calling for the much loved Spider-Man villain to receive his own film for quite some time, but the announced movie will be outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as opposed to Spider-Man: Homecoming which is very much involved.
The film has achieved a major coup in attracting Tom Hardy to play the titular character, a choice that fans seem to be very much on-board with.
We don’t know exactly how things will all shake out but we do know that production for the movie is now underway thanks to a recent tweet by the film’s official Twitter account.
The tweet itself doesn’t reveal a whole lot: no images from the film, or glimpse of Venom himself can be seen, but star Tom Hardy is present in the image with accompanying text that reads “Day 1 #Venom.”

It will certainly be interesting to see how Venom progresses and just how this film will fit into the larger superhero genre that is so prevalent today.
