Mr. Mercedes has been renewed for a second season by the Audience Network.
Based on the trilogy of Stephen King books comprised of titles Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, and End of Watch, season 1 told the story of killer Brady Hartsfield who taunts a retired police detective named Bill Hoges (Brendan Gleeson) via a number of explicit emails and letters.
Mr. Mercedes season 1 has received favourable reviews from critics, including an 85 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and as such, AT&T’s Audience Network has decided to renew the show for a second season to continue the story and adaptation of King’s books.
David E. Kelley will be returning for writing duties, along with Jack Bender coming back to the director’s chair.
