Actor Christopher Eccleston has criticised Marvel for being dishonest about his role in Thor: The Dark World.
The second Thor film may feel like a lifetime ago, having been released in 2013, but the actor behind the film’s villain, Christopher Eccleston, is still a little miffed about the filming process, telling The Graham Norton Show (via Digital Spy) that Marvel weren’t honest with him about what the part would entail:
“The first couple of days it was about seven hours, eight hours. I think we got it down to six and a half. It’s a day’s work before [anything]. Marvel were dishonest to me. Because they never, ever let me know that there’d be that amount of makeup. So yeah, that was not my finest moment.”
Eccleston also told Norton that money was a motivating factor behind his decision to take the role of Malekith but that he regretted it once he was stuck in the make-up chair.
