Last month it was announced that Josh Gad would be reuniting with his Beauty and the Beast co-star Luke Evans and Murder on the Orient Express cast mate Daisy Ridley for the superhero project Super-Normal, and now comes word that Netflix has snapped up the rights to the feature film.
While plot details are being kept under wraps, Super-Normal is described as “a character-driven comedy that takes an original spin on the superhero genre”, and is based on an original idea by Gad, with a script from Aaron and Jordan Kandel (Moana). Gad and Evans are set to serve as executive producers on Super-Normal along with Jonathan Eirich and Dan Lin.
Gad and Ridley can currently be seen in theaters in Murder on the Orient Express, with Ridley also reprising her role as Rey next month for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Evans last appeared in Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, and has several projects incoming including the thriller 10×10 and TV series The Alienist.
