With pre-production underway on Captain Marvel ahead of its shoot early in the New Year, MCU Exchange is reporting that Marvel Studios has enlisted Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Doctor Strange director of photography Ben Davis to shoot Carol Danvers’ solo blockbuster.
Captain Marvel is being directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississippi Grind) and sees Brie Larson (Kong: Skull Island) taking on the role of Carol Danvers, alongside Jude Law (The Young Pope) as Dr. Walter Lawson/Mar-Vell, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as an as-yet-unrevealed villain.
While details on the film are scarce, we do know that it will take place in the 1990s, and see Carol Danvers battling the Skrulls. You can take a look at some early Skrull concept art here.
Captain Marvel is set for release on March 6th 2019.
