Back in September, Damon Lindelof announced that pre-production work on HBO’s Watchmen TV series was underway, and now it seems we have an idea as to when cameras are expected to start rolling.
According to That Hashtag Show, filming on the pilot is slated to get underway in March, which means we should start to hear casting announcements for the project very soon indeed.
As yet, there’s been no word on any cast members, although speculation has linked John Cena to the role of Doctor Manhattan, given that the social media star made a number of Watchmen-related posts on social media.

Details on the project are very scarce, and it’s not clear whether the series will take the form of an adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ graphic novel, use material from DC’s Before Watchmen titles, or focus on a wholly original story set in the world of the Watchmen.
