Earlier this week Marvel Studios pulled back the curtain on next year’s superhero blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War with the release of the first trailer, and sure enough, it’s went down a storm with fans with a whopping 230 million views in its first 24 hours.
The numbers for Infinity War shatter the previous record of 197 million views, which was set by Warner Bros. and New Line’s hit horror It earlier this year. It has also become the most talked-about trailer for a movie ever, with 1,147,438 online mentions within the first seven hours of its release (the previous record was held by Star Wars: The Last Jedi on 784,360).
THR has also calculated the most talked about moments from the trailer, with Captain America’s beard leading the way with 20,474 mentions, followed by Spidey Sense (6,100), the Guardians of the Galaxy (5,497), “Get this man a shield” (2,180 mentions) and the group shot of the heroes running together (2,108 mentions).
