The recent home release of Thor Ragnarok has an extra feature entitled “Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years – The Evolution of Heroes”, and in it, both Avengers: Infinity War co-director Joe Russo and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige open up about the storylines that will be present in Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers 4. Both Russo, and Feige promise a conclusion to every narrative thread that’s been dangling in the MCU since Iron Man. Here’s exactly what they said:
Joe Russo: “Every story that Marvel has told since Iron Man 1 finds a narrative thread in these next two Avengers movies. It is a culmination of all that storytelling.”
Kevin Feige: “With Infinity War, we’re paying off every little thread and every little tease that we’ve had in what will be 18 films prior to Infinity War. There’s never been anything like this. Being able to, film after film, tease at a larger story. Really building these stories up into a giant conclusion. While at the same time introducing an entirely new direction for the future.”
It’s hard to believe that we are just a few months away from Avengers: Infinity War; Since the ending credit rolled after Avengers, fans have waited for this moment. So much has happened since then. It’s going to be exciting to see what both Avengers films will have in store for our current heroes, and also for the future of the MCU.
