Deadline is reporting that Riverdale star K.J. Apa has signed on to star in The Last Summer, a romantic comedy from director Bill Bindley (Madison).
The film, which is set to begin production in April, is an ensemble comedy which follows a group of high school graduates in Chicago whose lives intersect over the summer before they head to college.
Apa, who plays the iconic comic book character Archie Andrews on The CW’s Riverdale, was previously seen on the big screen last year in Lasse Hallstrom’s A Dog’s Purpose.
