As part of Warner Bros.’ presentation at CinemaCon this past week, It director Andy Muschietti sent a videotaped message to those in attendance, promising that the second chapter to the hit Stephen King adaptation will be “darker and even scarier” than last year’s first movie, and that fans may want to “bring your adult diapers”.
“Bring your adult diapers…to the theaters,” warns IT: CHAPTER 2 director Andres Muschietti, as he teases the sequel will be darker and even scarier in a taped interview at CinemaCon.

It: Chapter Two is set to begin filming this summer, and will take place 27 years after the first movie as the now-adult Losers Club find themselves going up against Pennywise once again. X-Men: Dark Phoenix’s James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain are in talks to play the adult Bill and Beverly, with Bill Hader as Richie. Bill Skarsgård will return as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, while Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff and Chosen Jacobs are expected to appear in flashbacks.
It: Chapter Two will be released September 6th, 2019.
