John Krasinski expresses desire to play a superhero

John Krasinski is about to be seen playing a superhero of a different kind, as a father struggling to keep his small family alive in the deservedly buzzed about horror A Quiet Place. However, the former Dunder Mifflin employee has been speaking to ScreenRant about his desire to get involved in “the whole superhero thing”.

When asked about a potential team up with off-screen wife, Emily Blunt, as the Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic, Krasinski had the following to say:

“Oh yeah, the Fantastic Four. I would love that! I mean listen, I’m still getting into the whole superhero thing. I didn’t read comics as a kid, not as many, I read some but not as much, but I’m a huge superhero fan so yeah, I’d love to do something like that. If they’re are any left, a lot of these have been taken but the ones that are left, yeah, I would love to do something like that. And listen, I’d love to work with her again so any chance I got would be great.”

Both have flirted with the genre before, with Blunt heavily linked with Black Widow, Peggy Carter, and Carol Danvers, while Krasinski tested for Captain America.

So whose suit would you like to see Krasinski fill? Or are you happy with the idea of him being involved with yet another Fantastic Four reboot? Maybe based on the stellar job he does behind the camera on A Quiet Place, he should consider directing an instalment?

Until then, A Quiet Place is released on April 5th in the UK and on April 6th in the States.
