While Marvel Studios has recently revealed that it has no plans to unveil its Phase Four line-up until after the release of Avengers 4, Marvel chief Kevin Feige has been fielding a number of questions about possible future movies during the press tour for Avengers: Infinity War, including enquiries about the possibility of Moon Knight and Nova movies.
“Yes,” said Feige when asked by Screen Rant whether there are any big screen plans for Moon Knight – a character who has been rumoured for a Netflix series on multiple occasions. “Does that mean five years from now, 10 years from now, 15 years from now? There are stacks of character cards that we have in our, in our development offices, which we look at. Which we pull for him, which we discussed.”
Seemingly more of a priority for Marvel is the cosmic hero Nova, with Feige telling Comic Book that: “[If] we have a big board with a bunch of characters that have more immediate potential, Nova is on that board. Because of the connection to the Guardians universe, because there are more than one examples to pull from in the comics that are interesting. And you’re absolutely right, he was in the earliest drafts of the [Guardians of the Galaxy].”
Feige has already revealed that early creative discussions are underway on a possible Eternals movie, but given the wealth of characters at Marvel’s disposal, it’s difficult to predict what the studio might have in store for us with its next few original franchises. Still, let us know in the comments below if you’d like to see a Nova or Moon Knight movie as part of Phase Four…
