If you were looking forward to seeing the return of Kevin Bacon’s Valentine McKee in the TV sequel to Tremors, then we have some bad news for you as Bacon has revealed on social media that Syfy has opted against picking up the pilot to series.
“[I’m] sad to report that my dream of revisiting the world of Perfection will not become a reality,” said Bacon. “Although we made a fantastic pilot (IMHO) the network has decided not to move forward. Thanks to our killer cast and everyone behind the scenes who worked so hard. And always keep one eye out for GRABOIDS!”

The Tremors series would have picked up some 25 years after the events of the cult 1990 movie, as Bacon’s Valentine McKee attempts to overcome age, alcohol and a delusional hero complex in order save save the town of Perfection when the Graboids begin to wreak havoc once more.
The pilot marked Bacon’s return to the franchise for the first time since the original movie, which has since spawned five sequels (the latest of which is set for release in May 2018) and a short-lived TV series.
