Avengers: Infinity War and potential Avengers 4 spoilers follow…
As the dust settles on Avengers: Infinity War – quite literally – fan attention is beginning to turn towards next year’s Avengers 4, and it seems that Gwyneth Paltrow may have let slip a spoiler about the as-yet-untitled sequel.
During a recent interview (via Comic Book), Paltrow was discussing her character Pepper Potts’ role in Avengers 4, stating that: “Pepper and Tony have had a real long journey together. She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they’re married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.”
Based on those comments, it’s seems that Paltrow: a) is referring to the conversation she has with Tony in Infinity War about starting a family; b) has let slip that there’ll be a time skip of around nine months or so between Infinity War and Avengers 4; or c) has inadvertently revealed that Tony Stark’s story will end with him retiring from Avenging and settling down with Pepper and their new family.
As it happens, this isn’t the first potential spoiler for Avengers 4 that Paltrow has dropped, with the actress sharing a behind-the-scenes video from the set of the film last year which appeared to indicate that she could be suiting up as Rescue in the Infinity War follow-up.
