Jeffrey Tambor will return for Arrested Development season 5

May 6, 2018 by Gary Collinson

He may have been axed from Transparent following sexual harassment allegations late last year, but it has now been confirmed that Jeffrey Tambor will be back as George Bluth Sr. in the upcoming fifth season of Arrested Development.

Variety reports that a Netflix spokesperson has confirmed that Tambot will be back for the new season, putting an end to any speculation about his involvement.

Tambor had strenuously denied any allegations of wrongdoing, stating that he was “profoundly disappointed” over the way that Amazon handled the accusations when he was dropped from the fifth season of Transparent.

However, several members of the Arrested Development cast spoke out in defence of Tambor, with co-star David Cross stating that “from the limited amount we know, we stand behind Jeffrey — and I am one of them.”

As yet, there’s no word when we can expect the fifth season of Arrested Development, but a remixed version of the fourth season hit Netflix this past Friday.
