We know we’re getting the return of Tom Cruise’s Maverick and Val Kilmer’s Iceman, it’s been suggested by Cruise that we’ll get another volleyball scene, and now ‘King of the Movie Soundtrack’ Kenny Loggins has revealed to TMZ that he’s hoping to record a new version of ‘Danger Zone’ for next year’s Top Gun: Maverick.
“I met Tom Cruise on [The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon], and I asked him the question [about ‘Danger Zone’],” said Loggins. “He said, ‘Of course, we have to use Danger Zone.’ So I’m hoping to do it, maybe as a duet with a young act. I’d love to work with, well, there’s young and then there’s young. We have some feelers out to some pretty cool rock acts.”
