Marvel’s Kevin Feige discusses Spider-Man: Far From Home title

June 25, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Yesterday, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland took a moment to share a video from the Ace Comic-Con, where he “accidentally” revealed that next year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is going by the title Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Now, speaking to CinemaBlend during the Ant-Man and the Wasp press junket, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed the title, as well as teasing that it has several alternate meanings.

“[It’s] similar [to Spider-Man: Homecoming],” said Feige. “I won’t say what the meanings are, but we enjoy that title because, like Homecoming, it is full of alternate meaning. And we liked continuing the ‘Home’ thing, with the little Spidey symbol in the ‘Home.'”

We do know that the web-slinger’s second solo outing will take him outside of New York City as Peter Parker and his classmates embark on a field trip to Europe, which obviously explains the literal meaning of the title.

As for alternate meanings, do you have any theories? Let us know in the comments below…
