Now that Danny Boyle is officially on board for Bond 25, the British tabloid rumour mill is churning once again, with The Daily Mirror reporting that Boyle and the film’s producers are eyeing Helena Bonham Carter for the villain of the new 007 adventure.
You may want to have a pinch of salt handy here, but according to the paper, Bonham Carter tops the wish-list for the next Bond villain, while Angelina Jolie – who starred alongside Daniel Craig in 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – is also said to be in contention.
Bond 25 will mark Craig’s fifth and final outing as Ian Fleming’s super spy, and has been scripted by Danny Boyle’s frequent collaborator John Hodge.
Filming on Bond 25 is set to get underway in December at Pinewood Studios. So far, only Daniel Craig is confirmed to star, but Ben Whishaw has recently stated that he expects to return as Q, and it would be a surprise if he isn’t joined by Naomie Harris’ Miss Moneypenny and Ralph Fiennes’ M.
Bond 25 is set for release on October 25th 2019 in the UK and on November 8th 2019 in North America.
