At the San Diego Comic-Con, DC Entertainment has announced their new slate of animated films following the world premiere of The Death of Superman. Including the second part of the film, Reign of the Supermen, fans will be very excited to learn that Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee’s fan-favourite Batman: Hush will be adapted to film along with a new original Wonder Woman film, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines.
Reign of the Supermen will be released in early 2019, closely followed by Justice League vs The Fatal Five in Spring 2019. Not much was revealed about this film, but The Fatal Five are characters long associated with the future Legion of Super-Heroes and is an original tale.
Following that in summer 2019 will be Batman: Hush. The storyline made waves back in 2003 and is famous for the first hints at Jason Todd’s return as well as Batman and Catwoman’s romance as well as a deep mystery involving many of Batman’s enemies while he tried to uncover the identity of the mysterious bandaged face Hush.
DC usually puts out only three animated films a year, but they are treating fans with an extra film set around Wonder Woman for the first time since 2009’s Wonder Woman. Titled Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, the film is also an original adventure for the Amazonian warrior and its story is being kept under wraps for now, but they said we can expect to learn more about each of the films as we get closer to 2019.
