Lucasfilm has announced that it is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Emmy-winning animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars with a special panel at this month’s San Diego Comic-Con International.
The panel will see show creator and supervising director Dave Filoni and a number of special guests looking back on the series, which finished up its six season run in 2014.
Perhaps we’ll also get a sneak peek of Filoni’s next animated offering, the recently announced Star Wars Resistance?
Set between the events of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: The Clone Wars first launched on August 15th 2008 with the theatrical release of an animated movie, before the show launched that October on Disney XD.
The Clone Wars is notable for resurrecting the character of Darth Maul after his “death” in The Phantom Menace, as well as bringing Darth Bane into the official Disney Star Wars canon and introducing the fan favourite character Ahsoka Tano.
