Elizabeth Banks has taken to Twitter to announce that production is now underway on Charlie’s Angels, the feature film reboot of the classic TV series (and subsequent 2000 and 2003 movies), which sees Kristen Stewart (Personal Shopper), Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) and Ella Balinska (Midsomer Murders) starring as a new generation of Angels.

In addition to directing, Banks has co-written the script for the new Charlie’s Angels with Jay Basu (The Girl in the Spider’s Web: A New Dragon Tattoo Story) and will also star as one of several Bosley characters (with Patrick Stewart portraying another), handlers for various teams of Angels in the reimagined Townsend Agency, which is now a multinational security firm.
Charlie’s Angels is slated for release on September 27th 2019.
