According to horror site Bloody Disgusting, Get Out director Jordan Peele plans on tackling the world of Candyman.
In their report, they say Peele is in talks to produce the remake through Monkeypaw Productions, his production company. There is no word on if he will direct the piece, but that doesn’t seem impossible.
Candyman is an urban horror film adapted from Clive Barker‘s “Books of Blood” short story “The Forbidden.” Bernard Rose directed Tony Todd and Virginia Madsen in this terrifying look at 90’s housing projects and the urban legend of Candyman that haunts the area. In the film, he is summoned by saying his name five times while facing a mirror.
