As filming continues on The Mandalorian, creator and executive producer Jon Favreau has taken to social media to share a photo from the set of the live-action Star Wars show, which sees the saga’s creator George Lucas popping by to pay Favreau a surprise birthday visit.

While specific details on The Mandalorian are being kept tightly under wraps (we haven’t even had any official casting news as yet, although Narcos and Game of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal has been rumoured), we do have a brief synopsis for the series:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that Dave Filoni (Star Wars Rebels), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) will all be directing episodes of the show, which is slated to arrive on Disney’s streaming service in 2019.
Now, how about getting Lucas back in the director’s chair for one final trip to the galaxy far, far away?
