Matthew McConaughey, Henry Golding and Kate Beckinsale cast in Guy Ritchie’s Toff Guys

October 11, 2018 by Gary Collinson

After finishing up with Disney’s live-action Aladdin, Guy Ritchie is set for a return to the crime genre with his next film Toff Guys, and Miramax has announced that Matthew McCononaughey (White Boy Rick) is set to lead the cast alongside Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) and Kate Beckinsale (Underworld: Blood Wars).

Toff Guys has been written by Ritchie along with Marn Davies and Ivan Atkinson, and will explore the collision between old money European wealth and the modern marijuana industrial complex. It follows a British drug lord as he tries to sell off his highly profitable empire to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.

“McConaughey as the inside outsider with Henry and Kate will make for a thrilling Guy Ritchie ride,” said Bill Block, CEO of Miramax.

Toff Guys is set to begin production in England this fall. McConaughey meanwhile will next be seen in Serenty opposite Anne Hathaway, and has Harmony Korine’s The Beach Bum set to arrive in 2019.
