We’ve had Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet, Avengers: Endgame, and now we’ve got another possible title for next year’s Avengers 4, with a rumour from MCU Cosmic claiming that the Infinity War follow-up is going by the title Avengers: Annihilation.
The term ‘Annihilation’ will be familiar to fans of Marvel Comics, having been the title of a 2006 event series, albeit one that focussed on the cosmic side of the Marvel universe and didn’t actually feature any of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Now, this report is of course unconfirmed, but MCU Cosmic has had a few accurate scoops in the past, so it’s certainly not beyond the realm of possibility that this is also legit. And, as the site notes, it also fits with the cryptic title tease posted by the Russos on social media last month:
