It’s been a couple of years now since it was officially confirmed that Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford are set to reunite for a fifth Indiana Jones adventure, but we’re still facing a lengthy wait until we see Ford dusting off the fedora and bullwhip for another outing.
This summer, it was reported that Disney has pushed back the release of Indiana Jones 5 to 2021, having brought in Solo: A Star Wars Story co-writer Jonathan Kasdan to rework the script.
Now, during an appearance as the SAG-AFTRA Foundation where he received the Artists Inspiration Awards, Ford offered a very brief update on the movie to Variety, basically just confirming the above: “We’ve got a script in production that we are all very excited about, and [I’m] looking forward to it.”
The site went on to ask Ford about the long-running rumours linking Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World stay Chris Pratt to the role of Indy, with Ford joking that: “I think it’s him or me.”
