J.J. Abrams and Jennifer Garner reuniting for My Glory Was I Had Such Friends

December 13, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Alias creator J.J. Abrams and star Jennifer Garner are set to reunite for My Glory Was I Had Such Friends, a new limited drama which has received a straight-to-series order from Apple.

Based on Amy Silverstein’s 2017 memoir, My Glory Was I Had Such Friends “showcases the power of friendship and the resilience of the human spirit as it follows an extraordinary group of women who supported Silverstein as she waited for a second life-saving heart transplant.”

The series is being written by Karen Croner (The Tribes of Palos Verdes), which will also executive produce with Abrams, Garner and Silverstein.

Garner, who previously worked with Abrams on Felicity and Alias, was most recently seen in HBO’s comedy series Camping. Abrams meanwhile is currently shooting Star Wars: Episode IX ahead of its release in December 2020.
