Last week Paramount Pictures kicked off its marketing campaign for the live-action/CG-hybrid Sonic the Hedgehog movie with the release of a teaser poster which gave us our first glimpse of the SEGA mascot as he’s set to appear in his big screen debut – in silhouette form, at least.
Well, it seems we’ve now got our first real look at the movie’s Sonic – or an early version of him – with an alleged mock-up poster surfacing online. As you’ll no doubt notice, Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World star Chris Pratt is featured on the poster, and it seems he was one of several early casting choices for the film, both as the human lead Tom and the voice of Sonic
In addition to Pratt, several of his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-stars were also considered in Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Michael B. Jordan and Tom Holland, along with the likes of Bill Hader, Justin Timberlake, Josh Gad, Andy Samberg, Jim Parsons, Charlie Day, Ansel Elgor and Milo Ventimiglia.
Rumour: Check out this internal poster of the #SonicMovie that was allegedly made roughly a year ago. A sheet detailing possible candidates for the roles of Sonic and Officer Tom, assumedly prior to the signing of Marsden and Schwartz, was also seen here.
