Caleb Landry Jones joins Tom Hanks in sci-fi drama Bios

January 13, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Last year it was announced that Tom Hanks is set to star in Bios, a sci-fi drama set up at Amblin Entertainment, and now comes word from Variety that Caleb Landry Jones (Get Out, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) has also joined the film.

Directed by Miguel Sapochnik (Game of Thrones) from a script by Craig Luck and Ivor Powell, the film will see Hanks playing Finch, an ailing inventor and the last man on Earth who build a robot (Jones) in order to keep his beloved dog safe after his death. As the trio travel cross country, Finch has to teach his creation to become ‘human’ enough to care for his pet, and his dog to accept a new master.

Landry Jones had a busy 2018, appearing in Showtime’s Twin Peaks revival, as well as the feature films Tyrel, To the Night and Welcome the Stranger.
