The fifth and final season of the Batman prequel series Gotham got underway this month, and during an interview with Cameron Monaghan about his new film Anthem of a Teenage Prophet, Martin Carr managed to grab a few words from the actor about his thoughts on the final run of episodes.
While he wasn’t able to divulge much, Monaghan did tease that the finale (which will reportedly feature a ten-year flash-forward) will present a bold new interpretation of his character Jeremiah:
“So Gotham is tied off and I will say that it’s really exciting with that final season that we got to go to the places that we do, while specifically for the final episode there is a lot that people have not seen yet. It is definitely my favourite interpretation of what we have done with the character and it is definitely the boldest and just so cool. And the final episode in my opinion is my most favourite thing I’ve had a chance to do on the show.”
Check back later today for our full interview with Monaghan, and catch Gotham on Thursday nights on FOX.
