It’s been teased on numerous occasions that while the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones has a shortened episode count of just six, every episode will be an hour plus in length, and now it seems we may have confirmation of the running times.
As per Winter is Coming, the French site Premiere attended a presentation, where it was reportedly revealed that episodes one and two will run for 60 minutes apiece, with the final four episodes running at 80 minutes (without commercials). That puts them on par with the longest episode to date, the season seven finale ‘The Dragon and the Wolf’, which rand for 81 minutes.

If this report is accurate, that means the final season of Game of Thrones will run for a total of 440 minutes, which is just two minutes shorter than season seven, despite there being one episode less.
The final season of Game of Thrones is set to premiere on HBO on April 14th,
