Marvel Studios’ Black Panther Oscar ambitions have just received a major boost with the Producer’s Guild of America announcing that the superhero blockbuster will contest the prestigious Darryl F. Zanuck Award at the 2019 PGA Awards.
The award is seen as the best indicator of the Best Picture nominees at the Academy Awards, and this year sees Black Panther nominated alongside BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Rich Asians, The Favourite, Green Book, A Quiet Place, Roma, A Star Is Born and Vice.
