Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has commented on the news that Adam McKay would like to make a Silver Surfer film.
With the Disney/Fox deal edging at long last closer to completion, it hopefully won’t be too long to wait before some of the Fox-owned Marvel Characters can make their way into the MCU.
One of these characters is Silver Surfer, a character that Vice director Adam McKay has revealed that he would love to make a film about. What does Marvel boss Kevin Feige think about this idea? Well, he gave his response to MTV News:
“I’ve not gotten a call, but I’ve seen Adam tonight and at a number of these awards and he is not only, as everybody knows, an incredibly smart guy, he is a honest to goodness fan. And, you know, he did a lot of sort of behind-the-scenes help with us on the first Ant-Man film, and have you seen Vice? Little cameo. Little Galactus cameo that we helped him get. So I look forward to speaking with him more.”
So, by no means a hard no from Feige. Who knows, once the rights to Silver Surfer come to Marvel Studios, we could be looking at a solo film from the director of The Big Short.
