Mike Colter and Nafessa Williams join Black and Blue

January 25, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Screen Gems’ cop thriller Black and Blue has made two more additions to its cast in Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Nafessa Williams (Black Lightning), Deadline has revealed.

The film is being directed by Deon Taylor (Traffik) and sees Naomie Harris (Moonlight) playing a rookie officer who witnesses the murder of a drug dealer by corrupt cops and captures the footage on her body cam. With the crime pinned on her, the rookie then faces a fight for survival, hunted by the cops desperate to destroy the incriminating footage and the drug dealers seeking revenge.

In addition to Harris, Colter and Williams, the cast of Black and Blue includes Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War), Reid Scott (Venom), Beau Knapp (Destroyer) and Tyrese Gibson (The Fate of the Furious).
