With The Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox expected to close in a matter of months (if not weeks), Marvel Studios will soon be popping the champagne corks once the characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises become available to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
So far, Marvel has played down their arrival, with Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige refusing to be drawn on his plans for the characters beyond the fact that he has some “vague ideas” floating around his head for their introduction. However, if a new rumour is to be believed, we may now have some idea what Marvel is planning for the most iconic mutant of them all.
According to a report at We Got This Covered, Marvel has decided to recast the role of Wolverine (sorry, any Hugh Jackman fans who were still holding out hope about that Avengers: Endgame rumour being true), but rather than introducing him in a movie, he will instead be the focus of his own TV series on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.
A Wolverine series would certainly be a coup for Disney+ as it attempts to carve a place for itself in the increasingly competitive streaming market. That being said, we’d advise filing this one firmly under”rumour” for the time being, rather than getting too excited about Logan joining the likes of The Vision and Scarlet Witch, Loki and Falcon and the Winter Soldier on the new streaming platform.

Nevertheless, let us know what you make of the idea of a Wolverine TV show, and whether you think it would be a good way to introduce the adamantium-clawed mutant into the MCU.
