Earlier this week Walt Disney Studios dropped a nice surprise for Frozen fans with the release of the first teaser trailer for this year’s hugely-anticipated sequel to the smash-hit 2013 animated movie.
The trailer – which you can watch here – went on to rack up a whopping 116.4 million views online in its first 24 hours, surpassing the previous record set by Disney-Pixar’s The Incredibles by some 2.8 million to become the most-watched trailer for an animated film ever.
Disney also recently broke the record for the most-watched live-action trailer, with our first look at Avengers: Endgame pulling in 289 million views in its first day.
Details on Frozen 2 are scarce at this point, but we do know that Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are back directing, while Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Josh Gad (Olaf) are set to be joined in the voice cast by Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld) and Sterkling K. Brown (This Is Us).
Frozen 2 is set for release on November 22nd.
