Black Panther and Creed star Michael B. Jordan looks set to team up with Denzel Washington for the latter’s latest directorial effort, with THR reporting that Jordan is in talks to produce and star in the upcoming drama A Journal for Jordan.
Scripted by Oscar-nominated Virgil Williams (Mudbound) and based upon Dana Canedy’s bestselling memoir, A Journal for Jordan tells the true story of Canedy’s relationship with Charles Monroe King, a soldier who was serving in Iraq and kept a journal full of life lessons for their newborn son. Sadly, King was killed in Iraq when his son was just seven months old.
