As Blumhouse continues its preparations for the Universal Monsters movie The Invisible Man, That Hashtag Show is reporting that director Leigh Whannell (Upgrade) has narrowed his casting search for the title role, and no – it’s not John Cena.
According to the site, Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name) and Alexander Skarsgard (The Hummingbird Project) are said to top the shortlist for the role of Adrian Griffin, a billionaire sociopath who made his money developing an invisibility suit for the Department of Defense.

Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) was recently reported as being in talks to portray the female lead, Cecilia Kass. Filming is slated to get underway in May, so expect the cast to come together quickly over the next month ahead of an as-yet-unrevealed release date.
