Last year it was announced that Mel Gibson set to get back behind the camera to direct a remake of Sam Peckinpah’s classic 1969 western The Wild Bunch, and now it seems we may have our first casting news.
As reported by Deadline, Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Dark Phoenix), Jamie Foxx (Robin Hood) and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) are in early talks with Warner Bros. to star in the film, which tells the story of a group of ageing outlaws looking for one final big score.

The Wild Bunch will mark Gibson’s first directorial project since 2016’s Hacksaw Ridge, which was nominated for Best Picture and Best Director. The casting talk follows on from a busy week for Gibson, who has signed on for three starring roles at Cannes in the festive action comedy Fatman, action film Force of Nature alongside Kate Bosworth, and the dark satire Rothchild with Shia LaBeouf.
