Quentin Tarantino says there’s a “very big possibility” his Star Trek movie happens

May 2, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Legendary director Quentin Tarantino says that there is a “very big possibility” that his Star Trek movie happens.

While many fans around the world are getting excited about seeing iconic director Quentin Tarantino’s next film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, what’s going on with the much talked about Star Trek script he wrote?

Well, in a recent interview with Slash Film, the director came across very positive about the film’s chances:

“It’s a very big possibility. I haven’t been dealing with those guys for a while cause I’ve been making my movie. But we’ve talked about a story and a script. The script has been written and when I emerge my head like Punxsutawney Phil, post-Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, we’ll pick up talking about it again.”

Well, there you have it! It sounds like fans of this notion have reason to be optimistic. We will have to wait and see what happens once Tarantino’s schedule clears up.

While the Star Trek franchise is expanding on the small screen thanks to Star Trek: Discovery, the untitled Jean-Luc Picard series, a Section 31 spinoff and two animated series, its big screen future is currently up in the air after the planned Star Trek 4 seemingly fell apart when Chris Pine (James T. Kirk) and Chris Hemsworth (George Kirk) failed to close their deals with Paramount.
