Video game fans have another live-action film to look forward to as Deadline reports that Straight Outta Compton, The Fate of the Furious and Men in Black: International director F. Gary Gray has been tapped to direct an adaptation of Saints Row.
From developer studio Deep Silver Volition, Saints Row “tells the story of the rise of the Third Street Saints as they battle rival gangs in an attempt to conquer the fictional cities of Stilwater and Steelport.”
The script will be written by Greg Russo, who is currently penning a reboot of Mortal Kombat for Warner Bros.
The Saints Row series has become one of the biggest successes in the video game industry with four titles in the franchise that take players all the way to from the streets of Stilwater and Steelport to the White House itself.
