Winter has been and gone, and now we stand at the cusp of an eight season small-screen epic coming to an end. This time next week we’ll know how Game of Thrones finished: some people will be in tears, others will be furiously typing below the line to express their displeasure at who did what. However, it won’t be completely over, as the following week HBO will debut their two-hour final-season ‘making of’ documentary, Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, and you can watch the behind-the-scenes trailer here…

Directed by Jeanie Finlay, whose credits include Orion: The Man Who Would Be King, Seahorse, and The Great Hip Hop Hoax, Game of Thrones: The Last Watch promises to ease fans heartache at having said goodbye to Westeros just a few days prior. The offical HBO synopsis reads:
“Much more than a ‘making of’ documentary, this is a funny, heartbreaking story, told with wit and intimacy, about the bittersweet pleasures of what it means to create a world – and then have to say goodbye to it. It presents an up-close and personal report from the trenches of production, following the crew and the cast as they contend with extreme weather, punishing deadlines and an ever-excited fandom hungry for spoilers.”
